International photography research conference: call for papers
The third international photography research conference will be held on March 30, 2016 – April 1, 2016.
Helsinki Photomedia is a biennial conference established in 2012 by the Photography study programme of Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture. Helsinki Photomedia offers various platforms, where artistic, philosophical, social, cultural, economical and technological approaches meet. As a new feature, Helsinki Photomedia 2016 introduces the Photographic Education conference panel for presenting education related research and projects under the conference theme.

Photographic Powers is a peer-reviewed publication based on the theme, presentations and lectures given in Helsinki Photomedia 2014 international conference of photography studies. There are 14 articles divided under two sub-themes: Artistic Gestures of Photographic Powers and Media, Techonology and Photographic Powers.
